The senior management team at NewEdge Advisors is looking for a highly skilled Trader to scale our investment platform while providing support to Managing Director on the administrative details of our investment platform. The Trader will report directly to the Head of of Investments & Trading division. The position would preferably be located in our offices in Baton Rouge, LA, New Orleans, LA or for the right candidate, remotely.

Responsibilities and Duties

Provide exceptional service to your clients – the advisors of NewEdge. Be an advocate and resource for both the advisors and staff of NewEdge at all times.
Coordinate trading and execution of all incoming trade requests for firm managed models. This involves dedicated daily time to ensure all trades are executed accurately and timely.
Coordinate large scale block trading across firm’s multiple custodians
Assist Portfolio Managers & Traders in model analysis, rebalancing, platform maintenance, website updates, and updating trade policies and procedures.
Assist and train advisors on how to use trading platforms and technology.
Assist in creation of model and platform marketing content, materials and deliverables
Evaluate ways to make trading simple, efficient and scalable. This could include:

Industry trend analysis
Technology Analysis
Forming or joining a study group
Attending conferences and seminars
