The Advisor Advocate acts in a relationship manager capacity and is responsible for managing a territory of affiliated independent financial advisor teams. In the role, the Advisor Advocate will be tasked with driving advisor engagement and adoption, advocating for advisor teams covered in your territory, and helping build community across the network.
We seek someone with vast experience in the RIA or hybrid-RIA space, high-level knowledge of the wealth management industry and custodians, and experience working with financial advisors in a similar capacity. Preferably, the candidate has formerly managed a territory and visited advisor offices. Additionally, this role will require strong communication and relationship-building skills, the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and being highly organized.
Location: New Orleans, Baton Rouge, and San Diego area candidates preferred, but remote candidates will be considered as well.
Duties & Responsibilities
Advisor Engagement
Support advisors on strategic business or practice management needs
Consult with advisors on all our value-add programs, services, and solutions to drive engagement and adoption
Help newly transitioned teams navigate and acclimate to the firm
Travel to territory offices and visit with the advisor teams in your territory
Perform annual partnership reviews with the advisor teams in your territory
Advisor Advocacy
Manage the overall relationship between the firm and affiliated advisor teams
Act as an advocate and point of escalation for advisor teams both internally and at the custodians
Quarterback complex requests or projects on behalf of advisors in your territory
Seek opportunities to enhance the advisor experience by capturing feedback, identifying opportunities, and overseeing improvements
Advisor Community
Facilitate in-territory group events with advisors
Host topic-driven webinars to drive peer-to-peer collaboration and idea-sharing
Take part in additional community-building events and conferences at the firm level
Qualifications & Skills:
Bachelor’s degree
3+ years working in the RIA, Hybrid-RIA, or wealth management industry
Familiarity with a tuck-in or aggregator RIA model
Exemplary customer service skills with a solution-based approach
Ability to operate in a fast-paced environment
Great communicator, excellent writing skill
Team player who can work well with multiple divisions across the firm
High touch follow-up
Comfortable using Salesforce as a territory management system
Ability to use a project management system
Salary: $96,000 to $130,000 base salary, based on experience, plus eligibility to participate in the company’s bonus program.
