Job Summary:
The Report Developer will create and manage Reporting and Analytics solutions that turn data into knowledge for our external and internal clients. You will be responsible for creating reports, extracts and underlying queries. You will also be responsible for troubleshooting and repairing bugs with reporting and analytic solutions.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Design, develop, deploy, and maintain business intelligence solutions using best practices
Develop complex reports based on user requirements using SSRS, Crystal Reports and other report writing tools.
Develop complex SQL Code (stored procedures, views, etc.)
Create data extracts and imports using tools such as SSIS
Perform Debugging work on existing reports, SQL code and data extracts.
Participate in resolving help desk tickets that involve reports, data extracts and scripts.
Actively participate in stand-up meetings to provide status to leadership to team.
Interact with business stakeholders/users to ensure accurate and comprehensive understanding of business requirements.
Develop, update, and maintain technical documentation
Required Skills/Abilities:
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or related field. In lieu of degree, 2+ years of relevant experience as a Report/BI Developer.
Experience in various software development lifecycle management methodologies (Agile Scrum, Kanban) using tools like Microsoft Azure DevOps or Jira for business requirements documentation.
Experience working with financial products and systems preferred.
Experience in SQL scripting to perform data analysis and query data preferred.
Experience with data visualization and reporting tools
Experience with SSRS, SSIS, SQL Scripting
Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to build positive collaborative relationships with business stakeholders.
Analytical, with problem-solving abilities and creative resolution skills.
Must be detail-oriented and have excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple competing priorities and deadlines.
Expected to perform independently and exercise good judgment.
